Annika starts Hound Health helped by Frazer while he was still working at Woolworths in their Design team.
Systems like Square, Timely & Acuity were great for humans, but not for pets. There was also nothing out there that allowed pet owners to find, compare & book professionals nearby. It all began here.
During lockdowns, a lot of spare time meant dedicated time & space to sink our teeth into the pet + pet business problem with 100% focus. 40+ conversations with businesses later and site visits when we were allowed outside, we had a better idea of the landscape & actual problem to solve.
Frazer leaves Woolworths to focus on Petboost full-time with a former colleague. The first version launches to 4 Sydney businesses in the Eastern Suburbs.
Mohamed joins Frazer to scale Petboost further and get it in the hands of more Australian businesses to boost their day-to-day.
Frazer's mission: To help local pet businesses succeed with better tools, enhancing the experience for both pet owners and their beloved animals.
With a background in User Experience Design and new business development at WooliesX at Woolworths (ASX: WOW), Frazer brings a wealth of experience in creating innovative solutions. In 2018, he helped Annika launch Hound Health, which sparked the idea for Petboost.
Recognising the lack of suitable software for pet businesses, also allowing pet owners to find, compare & book reputable providers nearby, Frazer and Annika built the first version of Petboost during the Covid lockdowns.
In 2022, Frazer took the leap to focus on Petboost full-time, launching the platform to its first 4 businesses in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
Mo's Mission: To empower small businesses with user-friendly, well-designed software, drawing from his experience of selling his previous venture to Australia's largest ASX-listed marketplace, Hipages (ASX: HPG).
Mohamed was a founding team member at WhistleOut, helping Aussies compare phone and internet plans before they were acquired by US-based Clear Link Technologies in 2018.
He then founded Call of Service, which was acquired by Hipages in 2019. In early 2024, Mohamed joined forces with Frazer, bringing his expertise in scaling platforms to help bring the Petboost vision to life and expand its reach across Australian businesses.
Annika's mission: To help shape the Petboost vision to support fellow business owners, spend less time in front of screens and more time with the pups.
An animal science graduate and successful pet business owner, Annika brings hands-on industry experience to Petboost. She founded Hound Health in 2018 with Frazer's assistance, growing it into a thriving local business.
Annika's practical insights have been crucial in developing Petboost, ensuring the platform addresses the real needs of pet care professionals.
