Growth Lead & Account Strategist
About the Role
This is a front-of-house growth role. You'll own the full sales cycle: from identifying prospects and running demos, through to closing deals and ensuring a smooth handover into onboarding. You'll be the first voice many pet business owners hear from Petboost, and the person who turns curiosity into commitment.
You won't be reading scripts or pushing features. You'll be consulting with business owners about their real operational challenges, then showing them exactly how Petboost solves them. Every deal you close has a direct, visible impact on a small business and on our growth trajectory.

Petboost is an Australian all-in-one system designed for professional pet services businesses, including groomers, daycares, boarders, trainers, and walkers. We empower these businesses to manage bookings, payments, customers, pets, and communications through easy-to-use technology that works beautifully for them and their clients.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Development & Outreach
40%- Identify and qualify prospective pet service businesses through industry channels, social media, community groups, and referral networks.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using outbound outreach, warm introductions, and inbound lead follow-up.
- Develop relationships within Australian pet business communities (Facebook groups, industry events, supplier networks) to generate trust-based leads.
- Track and report on key metrics including pipeline coverage, conversion rates, and revenue contribution.
Demos, Proposals & Closing
35%- Run tailored product demonstrations that map Petboost capabilities directly to each prospect’s workflow, pain points, and growth goals.
- Build proposals and business cases that quantify the value of switching, including savings on transaction fees, time recovered, and feature consolidation.
- Navigate objections, coordinate trials, and close deals with a focus on long-term business fit rather than short-term pressure.
- Execute a structured handover to onboarding, ensuring the customer’s expectations are clearly documented and met.
Market Intelligence & Enablement
25%- Gather and share competitive intelligence from prospect conversations to inform product roadmap and positioning.
- Contribute to sales collateral, case studies, objection-handling guides, and demo playbooks.
- Provide direct feedback to the product team on feature gaps, pricing objections, and market trends.
- Represent Petboost at industry events, expos, and online communities.
Who You Are
Nice to Have
- Experience in SaaS sales, account management, or business development.
- Existing relationships within Australian pet business communities.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, sales automation, or payment processing concepts.
- Experience creating demo videos or sales content.
