Your people and your space each set a limit, and the day stops at the lower one. Pick your trade, type what a normal week looks like, and no email address.

Your trade
The starting figures are placeholders, not a benchmark for your trade. Time a normal week and overwrite every line.
People doing grooms that day. A bather who only baths and dries is not counted here.
Their hands-on time across your usual mix. Leave out the bath and dry if someone else does them.
Count whichever you run out of first.
From on to off that table or dryer.
First pet in to last pet out.
For overruns, a walk-in nail trim and the coat that was worse than described.
Pets a day

Each limit on its own
What one change adds
Capacity, not demand. A day you can fill is not a day you will.
Every sum the calculator runs, preset by preset. Nothing is hidden and nothing is weighted.
pets per groomer = (hours x 60 - minutes kept unbooked) / groomer minutes per pet, rounded down
Rounded down because a groom that will not finish before close does not get started.
pets per table or dryer = (hours x 60) / minutes each pet holds one, rounded down
The kit does not need a break, so it gets the whole day.
your day = the smaller of (groomers x pets per groomer) and (tables or dryers x pets per table)
A groom needs both at once, so whichever runs out first is the one you would turn a booking away for.
pets at once = the smaller of (staff x pets per staff member) and (pens x pets each holds)
A place in a pen is no use without someone watching it, and the reverse.
your day = pets at once x groups a day
A second group only counts if the first has gone home before it arrives.
beds = runs x pets each sleeps
The ceiling on any one night.
check-ins a day = people on check-in x (window minutes / minutes per check-in, rounded down)
How many pets can come through the door in the window you publish.
your night = the smaller of beds and (check-ins a day x average stay in nights)
If only so many pets can arrive a day and each stays so many nights, the average night can never hold more than the two multiplied together, however many runs you build.
pets per van = (hours x 60 - minutes kept unbooked) / (minutes on each pet + travel minutes), rounded down
The van and its groomer travel together, so the drive comes out of the same day as the groom.
your day = vans x pets per van
Each van is its own day.
what one change adds = the same sums again with one change
One more of each limit, one at a time. On mobile, the second change is ten fewer minutes of driving a pet.
Pricing to match? The pricing calculators work out what each of those pets has to earn, and the no-show calculator prices the ones that book and never arrive. Before you add space, the council permits map shows what your council asks for.
The sums are short. Deciding what counts as a normal day is the hard part.
Petboost does not ask you for a daily total. Each team member and each space, whether that is a table, a pen, a run or a van, carries its own Pets at a Time, and every service books for its own length. An online booking is only offered when everything it needs is free. See how capacity works.
