The Bloodhound has a smooth, short, weatherproof coat that Dogs Victoria says is easily maintained, with weekly mitt grooming and daily attention to ears and skin folds. It needs regular daily exercise and a fully fenced yard of about 5 ft. It can be stubborn and easily distracted in training, and is usually very good with families.
