Dogs Australia calls the British Bulldog extremely tolerant of children of all ages, though supervision is advised because of its weight. It needs a weekly brush, daily cleaning of facial folds and care in hot weather. The Royal Kennel Club says its low energy suits smaller homes, and that it is not among the quickest breeds to train.
