The Greyhound is an intelligent, gentle and even-tempered sighthound with a fine, close coat that needs only a weekly brush and the odd bath. It is athletic but spends much of its time lounging, and needs about 40 minutes to an hour of exercise a day. Sources advise early socialisation and supervision around small children because it has little body fat.
