Pet owners already look you up on Google. As of today, they can book you from there too.
Reserve with Google is now live in Petboost. When your business qualifies, your Google listing on Search and Maps shows a blue Book online button. A pet owner taps it, lands on your Petboost booking page with your services and prices, picks a time and books. The booking arrives in your calendar like any other online booking.
We're proud of this one. Petboost is the only Australian pet software with Reserve with Google, and one of just two pet-specific platforms in the world to offer it. Getting here took months of work with Google: nightly feeds of every qualifying business and its services, matching each one to its Google listing, and passing Google's sandbox and production reviews.
Why it matters
Google is where most new clients start. Someone searches "dog daycare near me", finds you, and until now had two choices: ring you, or hunt for a booking link on your website. A lot of them did neither.
The Book online button sits right where they're already looking, beside Call and Directions. One tap and they're on your booking page, with your real availability, so you're not playing phone tag for a booking that could have made itself.
It works for every kind of pet business on Petboost: grooming, daycare, boarding, walking, training and mobile.
How to switch it on
- Open Marketing & Tracking in Settings.
- Find Book Online on Google. Each step still to do shows with a Fix link.
- Work through the list, leave the switch on and publish.
The list asks for:
- A Pro, Flex, Max or Enterprise plan
- Online booking switched on
- Services shown before an account is needed
- Business address picked from the suggestions
- Address shown on your booking page
- Google review link saved, so Google knows which listing is yours
Petboost sends your business to Google every night. Allow about a week for the button to appear.
Get your Google listing right
Google matches your Google Business Profile to Petboost on your name, address, phone number and category, so it's worth a two-minute check:
- Your Google listing is claimed and verified
- The name, street address and phone number match Petboost exactly
- Your address is shown and is where you actually work
- Your main category describes what you do, such as pet groomer, dog trainer or pet care
Google decides which listings show the button, and it has the final say. If yours hasn't appeared after a week, ask us in chat and we'll check the match with you.
Where the booking happens
The button opens your Petboost booking page, so the pet owner books with you, not with Google. Your services, prices, deposits, forms and booking rules all apply exactly as they do on your booking link, and the booking lands in your calendar with the usual confirmation.
If you'd rather not be on it, turn Book Online on Google off and publish. Petboost leaves you out of the next nightly send and Google removes the button.
