We believe you should always know exactly what you are paying for. That is why we built a detailed billing history into Petboost that breaks down every cost component so there are no surprises.
Where to find it
Navigate to Settings, Billing in your Petboost account. The Billing History tab shows your costs over time.
What you see
Your costs are broken down into clear categories:
- Subscription fee: Your monthly plan charge (Pro, Flex, or Max), including whether a subscription waiver was applied
- Booking fees: The percentage-based booking fee on transactions processed through Petboost
- Stripe processing fees: Card processing fees charged by Stripe on each transaction
- SMS charges: Any SMS credit pack purchases or overage charges beyond your plan's monthly allowance
Each category is displayed as both a dollar amount and a proportion of your total costs for the period.
Views and time periods
Switch between three views:
- Monthly: See your costs for any individual month
- Quarterly: Aggregate view across a three-month quarter
- Financial Year (EOFY): Full financial year summary for tax and accounting purposes
Visual charts show the breakdown so you can quickly see which cost category is largest and how your costs trend over time.
Transaction-level detail
Drill into any period to see individual transactions. Each transaction shows:
- The appointment or purchase it relates to
- The customer and pet involved
- The booking fee amount
- The Stripe processing fee
- A link to the Stripe payment for reconciliation
This level of detail makes bookkeeping straightforward and gives your accountant exactly what they need without you having to export and manipulate data.
Downloadable PDFs
Each billing period can be downloaded as a PDF for your records. Useful for tax preparation, accountant submissions, or simply keeping a paper trail.
Why we built this
Most software platforms show you a single invoice each month. You pay $65 (or $135, or $240) and that is it. But the booking fees and processing fees add up separately, and understanding the total cost of using the platform requires cross-referencing multiple sources.
We wanted Petboost to be the platform where you never have to wonder what you are paying or why. Everything is visible, everything is explained, and everything can be downloaded.
